A Study on the Safety Assessment and Certification Framework for Urban Rail Transit Signaling Systems

Nowadays, urban rail transit is promising means of mass transit in China. When people consider which type of vehicle is better, safety is a very important factor. For the development of urban rail transit, we must assure that the signaling system can meet the safety requirements. Therefore, establishing a safety assessment and certification framework for signaling systems is both necessary and beneficial for Chinese urban rail transit development. We try to accomplish this task by combining the advanced European experience and the Chinese situation in urban rail transit.
