Study on Resistance of Meter Gauge Concrete Sleeper and Steel Sleeper Ballast Bed

In order to clarify the resistance of meter gauge concrete sleeper and steel sleeper ballast bed,a full-scale meter gauge railway ballast track test platform was established.The in-situ test method was used to test the ballast bed resistance of single sleeper,and the longitudinal and transverse resistance-displacement relationship functions of ballast bed were fitted.The results show that when the displacement is 2 mm,the design values of longitudinal resistance of ballast bed of meter gauge concrete sleeper and steel sleeper are 9.67 k N and 8.31 k N respectively,the design values of transverse resistance of ballast bed are 5.27 k N and 4.98 k N respectively,and the transverse distribution resistance of equivalent ballast bed of meter gauge concrete sleeper and steel sleeper is 77.4 N/cm and 74.1 N/cm respectively.The weight of meter gauge steel sleeper is only 1/4 of concrete sleeper weight,but there is little difference between the two ballast bed resistance.Steel sleepers are easy to install and maintain and have strong bearing capacity.On the premise of meeting the resistance requirements,it is recommended to give priority to steel sleepers.
