On the Compilation of the Title Furtum in the Institutes of Justinian

The Institutes of Justinian was compiled on the basis of the Institutes of Gaius. Among Corpus Juris Civilis, the Institutes of Justinian is the most systemic part of all. The legal materials were organized by Romanized Greek technique. The constructions of the gerieral architecture and each conception are systematic. Title furtum is chosen as an example to summarize the characteristics of the compilation from the points of view of logic in organizing the materials, the expression of the legal rules, and the progresses of the Justinian version. Methodology, the genres of the legal writings, and Romanized Greek technique are the cut-in points of understanding and studying legal texts in Roman law.
