| Abstract: | The concept and definition of sustainable development were examined, the limita tions of conventional project-level EIA under the requirements of sustainable development strategy were analyzed. In the concept, objective and method, cumulative impact assessment was related with sustainable development. The characteristics and necessities for implementing cumulative impact assessment were explored. |
