摘    要:简要介绍了视频编码标准的发展历史与现状,阐述了H.264的主要技术特点并重点讨论了其较之于先前视频编码标准的优点,包括先进的帧内帧间预测编码、类DCT整型变换、增强的熵编码等。最后探讨了H.264的广泛应用前景。

Abstract:The history and the current status of the development of video coding standards is briefly introduced.Then the main technological characteristics of H.264 and its advantages over previous standards are discussed in detail,which involves the advanced intra/inter predictive coding,integral DCT transforming and enhanced entropy coding,etc.Finally,the expectation of the application of H.264 is shortly issued.
