文化信仰与商帮治理:明清时期晋商、徽商比较制度分析

历史比较制度分析与新制度经济学理论能够较好地解释经济现象的历史演变规律。我国明清时期以晋商和徽商为代表的商帮模式,集中体现了中国式商业文化的特征。分析这两种商帮模式的不同,可以帮助我们有效了解文化信仰对商帮治理的不同影响,进而对当前企业治理模式的构建提供参考。

Cultural beliefs and the Management of Merchant Organizations:A Comparative Institution Analysis on Merchants of Anhui Province and Shanxi Province in the Period of Ming and Qing Dynasty

By the use of new institutional economics theory and game theory, we have made a systematic comparison and analysis of the governance model of the Anhui traders and Shanxi traders in the Ming and Qing Dynasties with the help of the theory about the historical and comparative institutional analysis. Through this paper, we have explained the endogenous and the interaction relationship between the cultural beliefs and the management of merchant organizations. We tried to reveal the cultural beliefs of the informal system from suppliers to help with the coupling between the governance processes, and emphasized the cultural beliefs and governance model to help business between mutual supports and strengthen the relationship. Meanwhile, according to the principal-agent relationship, we have deeply analyzed the punishment mechanism under the collectivist cultural beliefs, and also pointed out the shortcomings of collective punishment mechanism which has the bottleneck effect on the development of business.
