Different Cultural Connotations in Three Chinese Radicals of" 文" 、" 攵 "and" 夂"

Radicals, traditional inheritance of Chinese culture, are the most impressive presentations of coinage in Chinese rec- tangular characters. It is of vital importance to be aware of relationship between origins of radicals and Chinese character forms, together with the routines that different radicals signify different meanings. It contributes well to the teaching of Chinese charac- ters and the inheritance of Chinese culture. The paper makes contrast and interpretation about three radicals ＂文＂、＂攵＂and＂夂＂ in terms of forms, pronunciations and meanings, in the hope that it is conducive to a better understanding of radicals, to the learning of Chinese characters, and to the mastery of the rule of combinations in both forms and meanings of Chinese characters and the humanistic connotation.
