经典的当时与未来——重读瞿秋白马克思主义文艺观的译介与诠释

QU Qiu-bai's Translation, Introduction and Interpretation of Marxist Views of Art and Literature: A Rereading

After the severe coup to his political career in 1931, QU Qiu-bai turned to Marxist theory and classical Marxist texts of art and literature. He conducted a systematic comb through Marxist art and literary critiques, translated most representative works and managed to make authentic interpretations, the first effort ever made in China to elaborate on Marxist theory of art and literature in a comprehensive, systematic and authentic manner. QU's interpretation and efforts of localization were met with a new wave of left-wing art and literary critique in China at the time. This sinologicalized framework of critique, particularly after being integrated with MAO Ze-dong's views expressed in his "Speech at the Forum on Literature and Art at Yan'an", remained revolutionary and vigorous till the "Cultural Revolution" during the 1960s and 1970s. QU's theory had a profound influence on modern Chinese intellectuals, even in their historical reflections at the time of social transformation.
