新闻词汇翻译策略研究

新闻翻译是对外宣传的主要渠道之一,如何准确而有效地传播信息,相当程度上有赖于对原文的信息在语言与文化两方面进行的＂解构＂。文章以功能翻译理论为基础,以国内各大主要媒体刊载或录播的新闻为研究对象,以《华盛顿邮报》等国外媒体新闻为观照,从词汇方面对新闻报道翻译进行剖析,探讨如何达到译文想要实现的功能/目的,以此为新闻翻译打好基础。

Study of News Translation on Lexical Level

Translating Chinese news into English is one of the essential ways of China＇s international communication.The precise and effective conveyance of information is largely dependent on the ＂deconstruction＂ of the original information in terms of language and culture.Based on an analysis to the news reports from such English media as Washington Post and Los Angeles Times and those from major Chinese media,this paper discusses news translation strategies on the lexical level from the functionalist perspective.Such a study can serve as guidance for news translation.
