| 摘 要： | 西部院校大学生英语四级通过率低的主要原因是写作能力差。提高西部院校大学生的英语写作能力，应从重新认识大纲入手，加强基础阶段的教学，改变教学方法，开设选修课，努力提高学生实际运用语言的能力。

| Abstract: | The main reason for the low rate to pass the CET-4 in the western regional colleges lies in the students' poor writing abilities. in order to improve the students' writing abilities, we should further study the regulations of the college English teaching curriculum, pay more attention to the elementary writing stage of teaching, change teaching methods in accordance with the students' aptitude, and offer optional writing course, so that we can heighten students' abilities of using English and achieve a good end to meet the demands of the curriculum. |
