This article presents an analysis of the bordering condition of the overbroken block in an opening, the determination of types and characters of the overbroken block, and estimation of the volume and the center of gravity, on the basis of the investigation of overbreaking in an opening at a hydroplant. These will be very useful in the estimation of the stability of openings in jointed rock mass and in the determination of the design of treatment and reinforcement.
