| Abstract: | By analysis of the characteristics and specialty features of engineering students of higher vocational institutes and demands for English, this paper points out that the English teaching should lay emphasis on the basic English teaching as well as on the teaching of professional English. It discusses in detail the English teaching objective, the teaching method and professional English teaching of the engineering students. |
