The Causes for the Gender Unbalance of Rural Population in Chongqing and the Countermeasures

With the advancement of birth control and the strategy of controlling population growth,the birth rate in Chongqing has significantly decreased,while the gender ratio of new born population has been in- creasing and exceeded international standard,particularly in rural Chongqing.This paper analyzes the problem of serious gender unbalance in Chongqing rural areas,its effect and causes,and puts forward countermeasures.
