Fanction and Characteristic of Cutting fluids in MQL machining

MQL machining is a process that implements sustainable development strategy.The machining effect for MQL is as same as or better than that for conventional cooling lubricants used in most machining,which can reduce cost and decrease environmental pollution.The required ecological effect of MQL cutting fluids is indicated and some base oils and additives of ecological cutting fluids are presented in the paper.At the same time the ecological performance and cutting characteristic for ecological cutting fluids are compared with another,which forms the theory and engineering base for MQL machining practice.
