| Abstract: | The clinical grouping of the mountain sickness(MS) is suggested bassed on the clinical manifestation, occurrence, course and prognosis of MS. MS is divided into the acute mountain sickness(AMS) and chronic mountain sickness(CMS) and it includes nine types. Benign form of AMS is named acute mountain reaction. Malignant form of AMS comprehend acute high altitude(HA) pulmonary edema, acute HA encephaledema and mixed type of AMS. CMS comprises HA polycythemia, HA cardiac disease, HA blood pressure abnormality, chronic mountain reaction and mixed type of CMS. The author considered that the grouping is beneficent to the clinical diagnosis, judgement on the results of the treatment, prognosis and the statistical management of the cases. The stage of MS also discussed in the paper. |
