Taper rolling- up and parameter determination in glass fabric packaging

This paper introduces the theories of the winding tension control system in glass fabric rolling- up machine and discusses the changing pattern of the inner tension and the factors that influence the tension from the theory of elasticity. The formulas for the inner tension distributions of taper tension rolling - up in glass fabric reels are gived to solve that there often exit the fold in reels in glass fabric rolling - up process. Based on these formulas the rolling - up performance with taper parameters can be quickly estimated. Lastly, the method for the taper parameter determination without any fold in rolling - up process are given.
