Abstract: | A well-publicized survey of local public opinion on town planning, launched well in advance of proposed changes, can not only yield planners results that are useful in a variety of ways but also serve itself as a valuable medium for public education. Such a survey can stimulate thought, intelligent discussion, and a better understanding of planning problems and their possible solutions. If there are local college or university resources that can be drawn upon, a survey of this kind is feasible at a minimum of expense. |
