| Abstract: | A thermal analysis for a gyrotron output window was made. By solving the thermal conductivity equation, the transient temperature distributions under various dielectric parameters were calculated numerically. A two-dimensional model was established to calculate window disc stresses. A theoretical explanation for the cracking of circular waveguide window due to thermal stresses is given. A formula for calculation of the power-handling capacity of the gyrotron window is presented. |
