多模态政治漫画语篇的意义构建

多模态语篇分析方法使得从新的视角有效解读多种符号组成的语篇成为可能,运用Kress&van Leeuwen的视觉图像分析语法框架探讨一则政治漫画的多模态再现、互动、构图意义的构建,旨在证明多模态语篇分析方法的解释力。分析表明:在系统功能语言学理论上发展起来的多模态语篇分析框架能够为政治漫画的语义构建、创新和理解提供一个新的理论平台。

The Construal of Multimodal Meanings in a Political Cartoon

Multimodal discourse analysis provides a new angle and an effective way to study the discourses made up of many modes.Based on the theoretical framework of the visual communication grammar,which is developed by Kressvan Leeuwen from Halliday＇s systemic functional linguistics,this paper studies how the multimodal representational,interactive and compositional meanings are construed in a political cartoon.The aim of this study is to explore the possibilities of analyzing multimodal cartoon discourse from a different perspective.It could provide a new theoretical viewpoint for the meaning construction,innovation and comprehension in political cartoons.
