A new method for the selection of distribution transformer type and capacity

Considering load density as a breakthrough, a new idea for selection of distribution transformer type and capacity was provided, and mathematical model and the corresponding solution of the problem were systematically summed up. In particular, the introductions of the potential cost, regional shape coefficient and so on, further improved the model. The method is simple and practical, clarity of the process, and actual examples show that this method is effective. The important impact of load characteristics and parameters on distribution transformers choice was also analyzed.
