In view of the drawbacks of traditional sinter waste heat recovery system, the sinter vertical cooling process was put forward and has been widely concerned in the industry in recent years. Based on the brief introduction of sinter vertical cooling process, the industrial application of the process was introduced, the application difficulties and its reasons of the process were analyzed, the research progress of the process mechanism was reviewed, the research direction of solving the difficulties restricting the application of the process was proposed, and the related research results were introduced, so as to provide reference for the improvement and large scale industrial application of the process.
