| Abstract: | Objective：To test the validity and reliability of Falls Risk Assessment Tool（FRAT） of University of Queensland when applied to Chinese hospitalized older patients.Methods：Falls Risk Assessment Tool was tested on a convenient sample of 890 older patients.Results：The Cronbach＇s alpha was 0.91 for the total scale and 0.71~0.86 for each item.All the 10 items were found to have significant item-to-total correlations（P0.05）.Factor analysis supported FRAT being composed of three subscales explaining 63.23% of the total variance in the data.Conclusion：FRAT was a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating hospitalized older patients＇ real condition and predicting their fall risk to some extend. |
