为满足德国因重整军备而对战略原料的需求，德国驻华军事顾问团积极促成中德间的易货贸易。他们把德国商人克兰引入中国，积极推动中德易货贸易谈判，并在两国出现严重分歧时，及时把事情发展拉回到正确的轨道，最终促成了对中德双方都有利的易货贸易的实施，从而极大地促进了中德两国关系的发展。

To meet the need of the German war raw materials for rearmament , the German military consultative delegation in China tried actively to make the Sino-German barter trade going .They introduced Klein to China in order to prompt the negotiation and finally they made it on the basis of mutual benefit even though there were serious differences between the two nations .As a result, the relationship between the two countries was developing smoothly then.
