Design of Role-based Access Control for Campus Network

This paper introduces the means of applying RBAC in campus nets access control.The basic concept of RBAC is that users are assigned to roles,permissions are assigned to roles,and users are acquired permissions by being members of roles.The safety administrators define the roles and assign the appropriate permissions.Under the RBAC framework,users are granted membership into roles based on their competencies and responsibilities in the organization.According to the system's actual need,a model of general hierarchical RBAC is established.
