| Abstract: | In this paper, uniform ultrafine particles of cadmium sulfide were prepared by microemulsion reaction method and their sizes were measured by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The regularity of the absorption spectra of uniform dispersed systems of cadmium sulfide was investigated. The results show that: (1) The size of uniform ultrafine particles of cadmium sulfide can be controlled by adjusting the salt concentration, the water-to-surfactant molar ratio and surfactant concentration. (2) In the absorption spectra of uniform dispersed systems of cadmium sulfide, the wavelengths of absorption onset shifts to shorter wavelengths with the decreases of particle sizes. The change regularity of the wavelengths of absorption onset of uniform dispersed systems of cadmium sulfide with various sizes is in accordance with the change regularity of the prepared conditions. |
