| Abstract: | The pilot rope is generally laid by manpower during transmission line stringing and this method may cause damages to the farmland and ground environment. The environment-friendly flying machine used for the pilot rope laying for the HV transmission line stringing, however, has sufficient comprehensive benefits. There are many kinds of flying machines used for the pilot rope laying, each of which has its own characteristics. Focusing on the study of construction techniques and workmanship for the pilot rope laying by different flying machines, this paper summarizes and analyzes many construction practices, and concludes that using the powered umbrella for pilot rope laying is both technically and economically reasonable. |
