70MeV质子加速器产生的白光中子源强度和能谱的计算

摘    要:用70MeV质子束轰击厚靶可产生白光中子源。选用金属钨作厚靶材料,应用适用于几十MeV能区的核反应模型程序计算了中子能谱和角分布。结果表明:70meV质子束在钨厚靶中终止前有4.6%的质子发生了反应,200μA的70MeV质子束流产生的中子总强度为1.01×1014S-1,中子平均能量为4.2MeV,10MeV以上的中子强度为1.15×1013S-1,高能中子主要在朝前的小角度区发射。

Abstract:White light neutron source can be produced if a thick target is bombarded by intense protonbeam of 70 MeV. Chosing metal tungsten as target material, the calculations are made by usingthe program SPEC. The calculated results show that the reactions occur for 4. 6% of incident 70MeV protons before stopping in W thick target. The total neutron intensity produced by 70 MeVand 200 uA proton beam is 1. 01 x 1014/s. The average neutron energy is 4. 2 MeV. The neutronintensity above 10 MeV is 1. 15 x 1013/s, of which most are emitted in small forward angleregion. This kind of white light neutron source is very useful in practice.
