目的：探讨上前牙厚度或舌面边缘嵴对Bolton指数预测牙合]关系准确性的影响。方法：通过数学模型并编程处理。结果：Bolton指数预测牙合]关系受到上前牙厚度或舌面边缘嵴隆起程度的影响。Bolton指数正常，牙合]关系可能不佳。Bolton指数偏大或偏小，但因上前牙厚度等因素的存在，牙合]关系可能良好。结论：临床上应注意上前牙厚度和／或边缘嵴的变化对牙合]关系的影响，上前牙厚度变化影响Bolton指数预测牙合]关系的准确性。

The effect of the thickness of the incisal edges on the accuracy when predicted with Bolton analysis

Objective: To investigate the effect of changes of the thickness of the incisal edges on the accuracy when predicted with Bolton analysis.Method: A mathematical model was used and prograrned.Result: The ideal ratio was low- er for dental arch with large labiolingual incisor thickness.A low or high Bolton value may not necessarily reflect a true in- tramaxillary tooth-size discrepancy and,similarly,an ideal Bolton value may not guarantee an ideal occlusion.Conclusion: The clinicians should pay more attention to the effect of the upper anterior teeth,s thickness or change of the lingual marginal ridges on the ultimate occlusion.The finishing occlusion was not always more accurate when predicted with Bolton analysis.
