Application of Gas Find IR-LW in Condition-based Maintenance of SF6 Electrical Equipment

In this paper,the present technology of Sulfur Hexafluoride(SF6) leak detection and the basic principle of gas find infrared were introduced.The practical experiment has proved that the high sensitivity of the instrumentation to detect SF6 gas leakage and that is a new method to identify high leaking sources more quickly.It has an extensive application value.A gas leakage case of a SF6 circuit breaker the removal method is hence presented in this paper.
