Abstract:The isothermal gasification kinetics of Shenhua coal char by carbon dioxide were studied in a fixed bed reactor under atmospheric pressure.Effect of CO2 flow rate,mass of coal char,gasification temperature and CO2 partial pressure on the conversion of fixed carbon were experimentally studied.An activation energy of 155 kJ/mol and a reaction order of 0.58 for CO2 partial pressure were obtained by the isoconversional method in the chemical controlled region.Homogeneous model was determined to be the most probable function via comparison of the related coefficients of 42 reaction functions.Finally a global CO2 gasification rate equation was developed.
