Abstract: | In order to improve pavement performance of modified asphalt in the project application, to reduce the early damage of the road such as rutting, cracking, pit, also reduce the periodic of maintenance and the cost of the project, we completely do research on the formula optimization design of modified asphalt prepatation. There are three parts: the compatibility of base asphalt and modifier, thermal storage stability and properties of modified asphalt composition. We choose three kinds of AH -70 heavy wheel loads junction petroleum pitch, amixing three kinds of SBS modifier (YH761、YH791 - H, Road - Modifier #2 ) and two kinds of stabilizer ( wdj, WT), to compare the main indexes such as PI, softening point, ductility, etc. So we find that the most suitable modifier and stabilizer can make the modified asphalt performance best by their prefered blending amount to every base asphalt. This can solve the problems which sustainance stability of asphalt surface layer under high or low temperature and partial damage occurrence, then extended roadway service cycle life. |
