| Abstract: | Three cases of complete heart block--two male and one female; one athlete and two students undcrtraining; aged 16--19--examined. One case with probable congenital complete heart block but ingood health showed normal heart function and could lead a normal life and take up varioussports, as has been verified by nearly 10 years' observation. Two cases showed transitory complete heart block alternated with second degree atrioventricular heart block. Both weredistance runners in good health and one was an ace athlete normal in competition, whose heartblock was considered to be functional in nature and related to physcal training. An initia lstudywas made of these two cases in regard to their physical exercise and further observations over along period are deemed necessary. |
