| Abstract: | The main characteristics of the earthquake disasters in the world in 1995 are great earthquakes rocking modernized cities,causing heavy casualties and horrifying amount of economic losses, making great impact on the society. The year of 1995 is one of the years that people suffer the most serious earthquake disasters in history. Altogether in the world, 8 752 people dead, 56 000 injured, as many as 450 000 buildings and houses damaged, $102 billion to 122 billion direct economic losses were caused by earthquakes. |
