The field of network security have become an increasing attention, honeypot and honeynet technology is based on active defense theory. Honeypot and honeynet technology through a carefully arranged environment to decoy the attackers who attacks the network, and then learn to know attack ideas, attack tools and the purpose of the attacks etc. This paper introduces the main technical honeypot principle, comparison and analysis and the first generation, second and third generation model of honeynet.
