The Study of Walter Gropius’s Ideological Changes

With Walter Gropius ’s lifetime in practice and exploration, his thoughts and philosophy of life are also becoming mature with the different mind revolutions in different periods, and these philosophies guide his design ideas and teaching practice in different times. In this paper, it elaborates and organizes the development and changes of his thoughts in order to reflect the thought processes of the modern design pioneer and the thinking process of development in modernism design.
