In this paper,the cylindrical cam with the translating follower,the roller gear cam etc. are taken as one kind,and the conjugate surface theory is employed to derive their precise meshing formu-las about such parameters as the pressure anlge, the equation of the cam surfaee,the relative velocity and the conduct normal curvature in the normal direction of the contact curve. These formulas lay a foundation for improving the design quality and developing a CAD system of this kind of cams.
