| Abstract: | Measurements of the Kerr effect and Cotton—Mouton effect of a series of non-dipolar, axially-symmetric, diamagnetic molecules have been made at 25°C and 632.8 nm. The static orientational correlation functions for these liquids were drawn from depolarised Rayleigh scattering studies and the derived magnetic anisotropies are in good agreement with literature data. |
