考察了后现代城市设计的哲学背景、思想内涵及理论实践特征,揭示了后现代城市设计与现代城市设计的连续、反叛、断裂和超越的内在关系及其自身发展变化的动力本质。揭示了后现代城市设计的积极和消极方面。作者认为后现代城市设计表现为三种基本倾向,即解释学倾向,解构倾向和建构倾向,并结合实例进行了分析。

A Critical Review: Urban Design and Postmodern State

This paper studies the philoso-phy back ground,the connotation andthe theoretic and practical characteris-tics of postmodern urban design,andreveals the successive,rebelling andtranscend relationship that postmodernurban design is to the modern urbandesign. It also reveals the immanenceforce of the postmodern urban design.The paper further argue that there arethree tendencies in the postmodern ur-ban design,namely,the tendency ofHermeneutics,deconstruction andconstruction. It points out the positive andnegative aspects of postmodern urbandesign.
