中国改革是指在中国共产党领导下以1978年底党的十一届三中全会召开为起点而进行的社会主义经济体制、政治体制和文化体制的进步性的根本变革。中国改革成功与否具有标准性。中国改革具有阶段性。中国改革的不同价段具有不完全相同的评价标准。中国改革因为多种因素取得了巨大成功．但这仅仅是社会主义初级阶段的第一阶段上改革的成功．对比一定要实事求是地评价。一个阶段改革的成功．为下一个阶段奠定基础，但是，不代表下一个阶段的成功。要使中国改革获得最终的成功，需要不断的进行深化改革．不断地科学发展。
