VEGF在鼻咽癌中的表达及其与预后关系

目的]研究血管内皮生长因子（VEGF）在鼻咽癌中的表达与鼻咽癌患者预后的关系。方法]通过组织芯片技术与免疫组织化学方法回顾性研究1990～2002年期间200例有临床随访资料的鼻咽癌组织中VEGF蛋白的表达情况，应用卡方检验分析鼻咽癌组织VEGF蛋白表达与临床病理参数之间的关系，并通过生存分析计算鼻咽癌组织内VEGF不同表达组的总生存率。结果]VEGF在鼻咽癌组织中阳性表达主要位于肿瘤细胞胞浆内。VEGF在鼻咽癌组织中的表达与鼻咽癌患者的TNM分期、复发及远处转移呈正相关（P〈0．05）。VEGF表达阳性及阴性患者5年生存率分别为40．11％和67．75％，两组生存率存在显著性差异（P〈0．01）。结论]VEGF的表达与鼻咽癌患者TNM分期、复发及远处转移呈明显正相关，其高表达提示预后不良。

The Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Its Relationship with Prognosis

Purpose] To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and its relationship with prognosis of NPC. Methods] The expression of VEGF in 200 cases of NPC with followed-up data from 1990 to 2002 was analyzed by high-throughput tissue microarray technology and immunohistochemistry. The relationship between expression of VEGF and clinical characteristics of the patients with NPC was analyzed with chi-square test. The survival rates between different tissues VEGF expressions in NPC were compared. Results] The positive expression of VEGF in NPC was observed mainly in cytoplasm of tumor cells. And the expression of VEGF in NPC tissue positively correlated with the TNM stage, recurrence and distant metastasis(P<0.05). The 5 year overall survival rates of patients with positive and negative expression of VEGF were 40.11% and 67.75% respectively. The survival rates of different groups were significantly different by log rank test(P<0.01). Conclusion] The expression of VEGF in NPC tissue positively correlated with the TNM stage, recurrence and distant metastasis. High expression of VEGF in patients with NPC predicts poor prognosis.
