Abstract:Design of a high performance CMOS LVDS transmitter in optical communication application is presented.The effective common-mode feedback circuit is added to suppress the switching noise,and then the less overshot voltage and more stable common-mode voltage are obtained to increase the operation frequency in the LVDS transmitter circuit.The proposed transmitter is designed in a standard 0.13μm CMOS process with a chip area of 130μm×90μm.The simulation results show that the LVDS transmitter can work stably at 2.5V power supply voltage with the maximal transmission speed of 2.5Gb/s and the dynamic power consumption is only 30.5mW.
