Application of Infrared Diagnostic Technology in Condition-based Maintenance of Substation Equipment

This paper recommends the principle of infrared diagnostic technology applying to substation equipment fault diagnosis,and also describes the characteristics of infrared diagnostic technology.Its scope of application include:fault diagnosis of circuit loop,fault diagnosis of insulation,fault diagnosis of ferromagnetic loss and eddy current,fault diagnosis of oil equipment for lack of oil.It analyzes some faults found in practical application,and reduces to some items which should be taken attention to in practical application of infrared diagnostic technology.
