Calculation and Selection of the Parameters of Gear Having Arcuate Tooth Traces

Gear having arcuate tooth traces is a new type one. It was exhibited in the 35th international new technological trade exhibition. The line,at which the tooth intersects the graduated cylinder,is an arc in the developed surface of the cylinder. The tooth profile in the middle section of tooth width is an involute. In this paper,we deduced the equation of the tooth surface and formulas of coincident coefficient and tooth width coefficient, the table of size of the gear and selection principle of the characteristic parameters-radius of cutter, tooth width coefficient and tooth number.
