Development Feature of Foreign Space-based IR System and Relationship with Ballistic Missile Defense Radar

Space-based IR system features vast coverage, rapid early warning and versatile battle application, playing an important role in information support of ballistic missile defense, and getting much attention and funds from strong military nations such as US and Russia. In the paper, mission, procedure and system contribution of space-based IR system is introduced; current equipment, capability level and development plan of space-based IR system is summarized; development feature of space-based IR system is analyzed; and relationship between space-based IR system and ballistic missile defense radar is commented.
