A difficulty that the power of the transformer during the later period of graphitization is not enough exists long term.The concept of the constant power design was put forth in 1970s,and was put into practice for long time.The views for the characteristics of the transformer for graphitization such as the reducing power design and operation,the constant power design and operation,equipment reform were given,which could provide a directive function for the graphitization of graphite electrodes.
