高校英语专业英语阅读课面临的问题及对策——以大连民族大学英语专业为例

依据大连民族大学英语专业特点和笔者的教学经历,剖析高校英语专业英语阅读课面临的问题:学生英语基础参差不齐、班级学生人数多、教材的缺陷、学时少;提出相应对策:分层次教学、采用分组讨论教学法、精选课文并辅以其他阅读材料、建设第二课堂、建立科学的评估体系等等,使学生爱上英语阅读并逐步提高英语阅读水平。

Problems and Strategies in Teaching College English Extensive Reading to English Majors ——A case study of English majors of Dalian Minzu University

Based on the speciality of English majors in Dalian Minzu University and the teaching experience of the author, the paper analyzes the problems in teaching college English extensive reading to English majors: the students’ various English levels, the large number of the students in one class, the disadvantages of the textbook, the short class hours, and proposes the corresponding strategies: different-level teaching, group discussion teaching, selecting texts and supplementing reading materials, building up extracurricular classes, establishing scientific evaluation systems, etc. All these strategies help students to love English reading and to gradually improve English reading.
