一种基于图像特性的快速运动估计算法

提出了一种应用在H.264中的基于图像特性的快速运动估计算法，简称图像特性快速算法（CPFA）。该算法利用图像序列时间和空间的相关性，为当前待编码宏块定义广宏块支持区的矢量参考集，通过该参考集对图像的运动特性进进判定，然后根据图像特性采用自适应的搜索策略，实现了一种简单高效的搜索方法。实验表明，CPFA在保证重建图像质量没有明显下降的前提下，编码速度有了显著提高。

A Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm Based on Characters of Picture

A fast motion estimation algorithm based on the characteristics of picture for H. 264/AVC coding standard is presented. This algorithm makes use of the spatial correlations and temporal correlations to determine the characteristics of the picture using the candidates of the MVs in the supportive region, then employs an adaptive strategy to search the optimal point. The results indicate that the algorithm increases the encoding speed significantly with negligible PSNR decreasing and bit-rate increasing.
