摘    要:开发了一个具有整体资源管理框架的iSCSI虚拟存储系统CA-iSCSI。该框架管理一些重要资源,如网络状况、客户端内存以及交换机的缓存和转发带宽。它能适应性地调整流量控制参数,改善应用感知性能,避免由于交换机工作超载而造成的网络丢包率上升和系统吞吐量骤降。CA-iSCSI通过拥塞定价实时协调存储系统客户端对交换机转发资源的使用。实验结果表明,在真实工作负载下CA-iSCSI的吞吐量比原存储系统有12%的性能提升。

Abstract:An iSCSI storage system with a resources management framework called CA-iSCSI was developed.The framework manages the main resources,including the network status,the memory of the clients,and the cache and the forwarding bandwidth of the switch.It can adaptively adjust both the traffic control parameters to improve application-perceived performance directly,thus avoiding the rise of the packet loss ratio and the crash of the system throughput caused by the overload of the switch.The CA-iSCSI employs congestion pricing via online auctions for the clients to coordinate the use of the switch resources.The experimental results show that the CA-iSCSI results in a 12% improvement in throughput when compared with the original system for a real workload.
