指纹图像分割算法的研究

指纹图像分割作为指纹识别的重要部分,是正确进行指纹识别的的基础,只有选择合适的指纹分割方法,有效地分离出指纹图像的前景和背景两部分,才能进行后续的处理,才能对指纹进行有效的识别;否则由于背景区域对前景区域影响会增加许多虚假特征,影响最终匹配,不能有效地对指纹进行识别;在指纹图像分割方面,分析了指纹的方差和方向一致性问题,设计了一种具有光滑轮廓线的指纹分割算法,仿真结果表明,该算法能够从指纹背景中准确提取指纹图像,并且能够除去边缘非正常中断端点,保证有效指纹区得到完整保留。
