Abstract:Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) is one of the main causes of lower respiratory tract infections and hospitalization among infants and the elders.Development of vaccine, monoclonal antibodies and chemical drugs are becoming hot topics for the prevention and treatment of RSV.Most of these products are based on RSV fusion glycoprotein(F) protein.In this review, the variation of F protein in existing RSV strains and the structure characteristics were summarized.The binding sites and escapes of some monoclonal antibodies and chemical drugs against F protein were reviewed.This will help to develop broad and efficient RSV vaccines and drugs.
